Former world champion Amir Khan announced he was potentially willing to help set up a fight for the WBC British heavyweight champion Tyson’s Fury against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk .
Tyson wants to earn that big buck. Everybody’s running to Saudi Arabia because they want a big check. I was talking to Tyson a few days ago and I said, ‘Look, maybe we can help you get this fight.’ He replied: “I want 500 million pounds.” I’m like, okay, I’ll contact you. He wants 500 million pounds. It’s crazy, isn’t it? I prefer Fury in this fight,” Khan said.
On August 20, Usyk defeated Britain’s Anthony Joshua by split decision and retained three heavyweight championship belts: WBO, WBA and IBF. The Ukrainian challenged Fury to a fight immediately after the fight, the Briton accepted Usyk’s challenge.
