Hearn: Joshua will fight next in December with an opponent from the top 15

The plans of the British subsequently fight White, Wilder and Fury

Promoter Andy Hearn said that he intends to organize the next fight of the ex-world heavyweight champion by the end of the year Anthony Joshua. The opponent will be easier for the Briton to help relieve the psychological burden from the defeat in the duel with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

“Anthony’s next step, in my opinion, is to fight a top 15 guy in December or January to put on a dominating performance.”

“Let’s get back to the winning rhythm and then move forward. I want him to have four fights from now until the end of 2023.”

“I consider the fight with Dillian Whyte a must for the British public. A fight with Deontay Wilder is also a must. And I also see the fight Joshua with Tyson Fury, this fight is still wanted to see.

“The only problem is with Wilder. I approached his team to organize a fight in 2023. But they still haven’t answered me. Maybe Deontay doesn’t want to do business with us, and that’s okay too.”

Joshua has previously said he is ready to fight anyone in his next fight. Anthony does not mind entering the ring in November, while the promoter recommends December.

On August 20, Joshua lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexander Usik in a rematch.

The first duel between Usyk and Joshua took place in the fall of 2021. Then the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision and became the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion for the first time.
