WBC British heavyweight champion Tyson’s Fury negotiates to organize a duel against the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk .
“We are at the stage where we can say this huge fight can definitely happen. Tyson is not giving up the WBC title, said Fury co-promoter Frank Warren.
Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk also confirmed the talks, noting the fight with Tyson Fury is “under development.”
On August 20, Usyk defeated Britain’s Anthony Joshua by split decision and retained three heavyweight championship belts: WBO, WBA and IBF. The Ukrainian challenged Fury to a fight Immediately after the fight, the Briton accepted Usyk’s challenge.
The winner of Fury’s potential fight against Usyk would become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis retired nearly 20 years ago.
