Judo Spartakiad champion Efimova: “So far the main victory of my life. I used to lose to these girls”

Karina Efimova, the Spartakiad champion in judo, admitted that she had won the competitions of her current rivals for the first time and named the reason why she had never tried herself in the national Yakut wrestling.

On Wednesday, the representative of the Sverdlovsk region won the gold medal of the All-Russian Spartakiad in summer sports among the strongest athletes in 2022 in the weight category up to 52 kg.

“I still can’t believe I won, but I’m very happy. I used to lose to these girls, now I was able to win.

– Who exactly?

– Nastya Polikarpova, for example. In the Russian championship, she lost to her in the final, now she won.

– What place will take the gold of Spartakiad in the collection of your victories?

So far, this is my main victory in life.

– Who came to encourage you?

– The director of our Yakutia UOR and the father of a friend, today she fought for third place.

Is it hot in Yakutia now too?

– It’s cold outside. In the hall, by the way, the temperature is also comfortable. It was stuffy in the warm-up room.

Have you ever tried national Yakut wrestling?

– Girls are not allowed to participate in hapsagai. Only men can,” Efimova told reporters.

The Spartakiad judo competitions lasted two days and ended on Wednesday in Kazan.
