The opening of the modern boxing progress center in Sochi will give a new start to the development and improvement of the sport in our country. The idea is due to the need to train Russian athletes, as well as to organize sports and training events.
The President of the International Boxing Association, Umar Kremlev, highlighted the general availability of children’s sports halls, the features of the Progress Center in Sochi and modern equipment: “Our main task is to make children happy and the halls sport should be accessible and free. We want a healthy nation to continue to grow, such a program exists and works successfully. This idea is promoted by the International Boxing Association and the Russian Boxing Federation. It was decided to open a new boxing progress center in Sochi, because here you can train all year round. The city has wonderful weather, sun, sea, fresh air. For athletes, such conditions are both helpful and beneficial. The advantage is that you can prepare well before the fight and recover afterwards. The difference between the boxing progression center is that the most modern simulators and new technologies are used. Gradually we will introduce new ones and improve all rooms in the country. There are ten boxing progression centers in Russia, and they all work very efficiently. The most interesting thing is that adults train with their children. The peculiarity of the Boxing Progress Center in Sochi is that judges and coaching staff will undergo training and practice.
Reigning IBF, WBC and WBO light heavyweight world champion Artur Beterbiev added: “In my childhood there were no such conditions for boxing. I remember big problems with the quality of the sports equipment, the punching bags, the parquet floor in the hall. An excellent boxing center has been opened in Sochi for children who will train and be motivated to develop further, and this is a great idea. Of course, I will try to come here and give masterclasses and advice to the younger generation. I wish the students to work hard, to box, not to give up, and everything will be fine. »
The Center has brought together a team of coaches and specialists and created the necessary conditions for the preparation and development of champions. A modern boxing hall and the necessary equipment will help to develop children’s and youth sports in Russia and raise the level of professionalism.
