On Saturday, Dalgatova won Spartakiad gold in the weight category up to 66 kg.
– The Spartakiad gold medal will take its place next to the awards of the world and Russian championships. I am very self-critical and generally not very satisfied with my work. She only had two fights, and the first one was canceled due to her opponent withdrawing. I didn’t like the technical qualities, but in terms of atmosphere, everything is still good.
The Spartakiad is an opportunity to prove yourself again, to cross the barrier. I do not hide that the absence of international tournaments is hard for me. The motivation for us has always been – performance on the world stage, to compete with other countries. Inside the country, we all know each other, and the European and World Championships and the Olympics are of a completely different level, emotions and mood.
