Eddie Hearn has spoken of how difficult it was for his ward after losing a rematch with a Ukrainian boxer
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua lost to WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch.
Eddie Hearn, the British promoter, shared details of the state of his ward immediately after the fight. According to the functionary, Joshua did not want to talk and was angry with himself.
“Joshua didn’t want to talk. We went back to the dressing room and he was very disappointed. I went up to him to talk to him and the others, but Joshua said not to touch him. But I didn’t leave him. and said he was boxing well.
Joshua said, “No, I didn’t box well, I lost.” I said he did well. I also reminded him that after the first fight he was weak, but now he is better. I am convinced that Joshua will win after the ninth round. However, Usyk was amazing in the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds, and the strongest won. But Joshua got him the whole fight,” Hearn told the Daily Mail website.
It can be remembered that after the defeat from Usyk, Joshua decided to return to the gym where he started boxing.
