Athletistic / Boxing / MMA UFC President Dana White spoke about his conversation with former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, in which the head of the promotion suggested the Russian fighter return to his career.

“We spoke recently to see if he had such an interest. He replied, ‘I’m done bro. My time is up.”

I doubt he will ever come back. I offered him something else – to fight by the rules of grappling, but he said he was not interested.

I think his dad’s death was a turning point in his career, and he just focused on coaching other guys, making them champions,” Sportkeeda said quoting White.

Recall that Khabib Nurmagomedov held his last fight in October 2020 in Abu Dhabi, where he beat American Justin Gaethje.
