The gypsy king asked for a certain amount for the fight with the Ukrainian
Promoter Eddie Hearn does not believe in a unification fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury.
What does Fury want? 500 million pounds? Well, maybe Fury won’t take this fight. I’m not sure he wants to fight Usyk.”
“If he’s a man of his word – and we all know he isn’t – then it’s either £500m or he’s out of the ring.”
In the fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Immediately after defeating Anthony in a rematch, Usyk challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands 500 million dollars for a unification fight with the Ukrainian.
The head of Top Rank, Bob Arum, said that Fury’s fight with Usyk could take place on February 11 or 18 in the Middle East. According to him, the fight in 2022 is unlikely.
