Khabib turns down UFC president’s offer for grappling fight

UFC President Dana White says he proposed to the former champion of the promotion Khabib Nurmagomedov organize a grappling fight.

“I tried to convince him to have a grappling match. He replied, “Enough is enough. I’m retired.” I think when his dad died it was the end of his career for him, and he focused on training other guys to help them become world champions, White quote MMANews.

Nurmagomedov retired on October 24, 2020 after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. The Russian relinquished his UFC lightweight title and retired with a 29-0 record.
