Undisputed middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) spoke about a possible fight with the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).
“It looks difficult, but I like the challenge. I like boxing. I love being in that situation. I am open to fight Usyk.”
In the fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Immediately after defeating Anthony in a rematch, Usyk challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands 500 million dollars for a unification fight with the Ukrainian.
Alvarez will fight Gennady Golovkin on September 17 for the title of absolute world champion in the second middleweight category. The fight will take place in Las Vegas.
