“Opponents called fighters to attack our team” – Shara Bullet on his football career in Dagestan

Undefeated Russian middleweight Sharabutdin Magomedov known under the pseudonym Shara Bullet, in an interview with spoke about his football career before martial arts, noting that there were often skirmishes between teams in Dagestan.

Currently, Magomedov has 9 wins in 9 fights in mixed martial arts (MMA).

– We had a “Diamond” club. The trainer received no salary, he was an ordinary carpenter. He just came to the stadium all the time and finally got a team together, started traveling with us to games, to applying for tournaments. We have become the best team in the Buynaksk region.

We played against Kizilyurt team. And Buynaksk always had important matches with them. When they came towards us, they were very badly beaten, a rib was broken. Then when our team went to Kizilyurt – thank God I wasn’t there then – our team was thrown hard on that game. They called not only football players, but all athletes, fighters, to attack our team.

And there was a third match in a neutral city – in Makhachkala. I already had a fight there. Initially, there was an acute situation – I was born in Makhachkala, I have friends there. The Kizilyurt team began to afford too much, but I didn’t wait long – I called my friends. We gathered in the park, it was very busy, but honestly we decided to go alone. But we had to leave, and the coach said: “Either you go back to the Gazelle and you go back to Bouïnaksk with us, or you are no longer a player in our team.”

And there was already such a situation that I had to go alone, solve the problem. I didn’t listen to the coach and went to fight. Imagine, so many people gathered, then sat down and left! What do you think of your departure? said Magomedov.

Magomedov’s last fight was on August 13 in the RCC league, the 28-year-old fighter knocked out Sergey Martynov in the third round.
