Fury: I won’t wait for Usyk, I will announce my fight next week

Briton wants to fight this year

WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) stated that he plans to announce his next fight within a week. The Briton doesn’t want to wait until next year when the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO champion plans to return to the ring Oleksandr Usyk.

“Oleksandr Usyk said that he no longer wants to fight. He wants to fight next year, not this year. So I won’t wait for anyone, I’m going to announce the fight next week.”

Usyk previously said that a duel with Fury in December is impossible. The Ukrainian needs to recover from injuries and rest after the rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Usyk also said that he was primarily interested in a duel with Fury. According to the Ukrainian, there is no more interest in boxing with any other athlete.

Last month, the Ukrainian defeated Briton Anthony Joshua in twelve rounds by split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.

Immediately after the victory in a rematch over Joshua Usyk called out WBC champion Tyson Fury to fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk.

Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krasyuk, denied that the fight with Fury would be held on December 17 in Saudi Arabia. According to him, negotiations are ongoing.
