Usyk: Fights with Bivol and Beterbiev? Let the two unite – and you can

Alexander is sure that such fights are interesting only as earnings

WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk commented on the possibility of fighting with the undisputed champion in the super middleweight division Saul Alvarezas well as light heavyweight champions Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev.

“Fights with Bivol and Beterbiev? For them to box with me? Let the two unite – and you can. Saul [Альварес] talked about it. But it’s still a freak fight. He boxed at 76 kg. Where does he want to box? In cruiserweight? ok i will do it [вес] 90.7 kg. I think that he will have a maximum of 86–87 kg.”

“I tell you that this battle is interesting only because you can earn good money on it. In terms of boxing? Don’t know. I think it will be interesting for the fans to watch because the guy is a little smaller and a big guy [боксируют]. The Mexicans will definitely be very interested. What he [Альварес] makes calls, lots of things. Well class. You can earn money.”

Also today, Usyk said that he is primarily interested in a fight with Tyson Fury, but does not plan to fight the British this year.

The head of Top Rank, Bob Arum, said that the fight between Fury and Usyk could take place on February 11 or 18 in the Middle East.
