Deontay is ready to listen to an offer from the team of the Ukrainian champion
Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder accuses the WBC champion Tyson Fury in that he overcharges for a fight with a WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk and says that he is ready for an offer from the Ukrainian team.
“If Fury has overcharged, then they (Team Usyk) know where to find me. 500 million is definitely overpriced.”
Deontay Wilder is back. I’m here to make the division strong and exciting again. But we’ll see what happens. Boxing is a business. This is strictly a business and you should treat it accordingly. Let’s see how business needs to be done to make this fight happen.”
Recall that Fury is demanding $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk. The Briton said that the Ukrainian is too light for the fight to be interesting from a sporting point of view.
Fury has previously stated that he is not going to wait until next year to fight Usyk. The Briton is set to announce his next opponent within a week.
Recall, Usyk said that the duel with Fury in December is impossible. The Ukrainian needs to recover from injuries and rest after the rematch with Joshua.
Usyk also said that he was primarily interested in a duel with Fury.
Last month, the Ukrainian defeated Briton Anthony Joshua in twelve rounds by split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115. Immediately after the victory, Usyk challenged Fury to the fight.
Former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz challenged Wilder today after defeating Luis Ortiz.
