The former world heavyweight champion wants to fight Deotey Wilder after losing to Usyk.

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s team has decided on a candidate for the next fight. Deontay Wilder is being considered for this candidacy, according to Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn.

The American has already been sent a request regarding the match arrangement. However, according to the functionary, so far he has not received a response from the American representatives.

“I contacted Shelly Finkel. That email said I had a big offer for Wilder and asked to discuss it, but I didn’t get a response.

I don’t understand their behavior. Maybe Deontay just didn’t like me and said, “I don’t care how much money this guy gives.” I was just wondering if he knew about this email I sent to Finkel? Who wouldn’t ask what’s on offer?

Now Wilder will face Helenius. It is a worthy opponent. It’s not going to be easy,” Hearn told Boxing Scene.

Note that the fight between Deontay Wilder and Robert Helenius will take place on October 15 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, USA.

Anthony Joshua, in his last fight, again lost to Ukrainian world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
