Athletistic/ MMA. Kazakh mixed martial arts fighter Artyom Reznikov has commented on the upcoming fight between Sweden’s Khamzat Chimaev and American Nate Diaz.

“77kg is not Diaz’s weight class, but Chimaev performed at 84kg. He is 77kg with difficulty. One is near the end of his career, the other is at his peak. I don’t see the point of this fight at all. People watch the fights to worry about the fighters, but here everything is clear before you step into the octagon,” Reznikov said in an interview with MMA Meta Ratings.

Chimaev will fight Diaz on Sept. 11 at UFC 279 in Las Vegas. Khamzat Chimaev approaches the fight as an undefeated fighter with 11 wins in his professional career, 5 of which were won under the auspices of the UFC promotion.

Nate Diaz has lost his last two fights – on November 2, 2019 he lost to American Jorge Masvidal by technical knockout (doctor stoppage) in the third round, and on June 12, 2021 Englishman Leon Edwards beat Diaz by unanimous decision. Nate has 20 wins, 13 losses, 0 draw.
