Fury offered to fight Joshua for the WBC world title

Tyson is ready to fight his compatriot this year

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) is ready to fight with the British Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs). Fury reached out to Anthony via social media and gave him the opportunity to consider his proposal.

“I think you all heard that I will be fighting soon. This will happen in the next few months. And I think that before I announce an opponent, I need to do this [предложение] just in case.

“Anthony Joshua, I know that you just lost a fight to Usyk and now you don’t have a belt. But I would like to give you the opportunity to fight for the WBC world heavyweight title.”

“You finish a 12 round fight [с Усиком]so you’re in good shape. Are you ready. I’ve been reporting this to you months in advance. So, if your team is interested in fighting me, I’m ready to send you the date of the fight.”

“Answer me if you’re interested. If not, I will choose another opponent.”

On August 20, Joshua lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexander Usik in a rematch.

Joshua is ready to return to the ring this year with any opponent. Briton promoter Eddie Hearn announced his readiness to arrange a fight for Anthony in November-December, and also expressed confidence in Joshua’s three or four fights in 2023.

Immediately after the victory in a rematch over Joshua Usyk called out WBC champion Tyson Fury to fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk.

Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krasyuk, denied that the fight with Fury would be held on December 17 in Saudi Arabia. According to him, negotiations are ongoing. At the same time, the Ukrainian boxer said that there would be no fight with Tyson in 2022.
