The legendary former boxer is waiting for the fight for the title of absolute world champion
Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis gave his prediction for a possible fight of the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“Now I’m a Fury fan. I saw him defeat Wilder in three fights. I didn’t believe him in the second, but I did in the third fight. It was stunning.”
“I’ve always said that a good big guy can beat a good little guy.”
Earlier, the former legendary boxer called on Fury and Usyk to fight for the title of absolute champion. Lewis is the last heavyweight to hold all the belts.
It was reported that Fury did not intend to wait until next year to fight Usyk. The Briton plans to announce his fight within a week.
Usyk previously said that a duel with Fury in December is impossible. The Ukrainian needs to recover from injuries and rest after the rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Usyk also said that he was primarily interested in a duel with Fury. According to the Ukrainian, there is no more interest in boxing with any other athlete.
Last month, the Ukrainian beat Britain’s Anthony Joshua in twelve rounds by split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Immediately after the victory in a rematch over Joshua Usyk called out WBC champion Tyson Fury to fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk.
Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krasyuk, denied that the fight with Fury would be held on December 17 in Saudi Arabia. According to him, negotiations are ongoing.
