Administrator Oleksandr Usyk Egis Klimas ridiculed the hypothesis Tyson’s Fury that he could fight Anthony Joshua next year as Usyk refuses to enter the ring.
The Ukrainian boxer, in turn, explained that he had a relapse of old injuries and wanted to spend time with his family.
“After Oleksandr Usyk defeats Tyson Fury, yes I think it will be a good fight between two losers to see who is better,” Klimas wrote on social media.
On August 20, Usyk defeated Britain’s Anthony Joshua by split decision and retained three heavyweight championship belts: WBO, WBA and IBF. The Ukrainian challenged Fury to a fight immediately after the fight, the Briton accepted Usyk’s challenge. Later, the Ukrainian pointed out that he has no plans to fight this year and wants to face Fury next year.
