Athletistic/ Boxing. American boxer Shakur Stevenson, who competes in the featherweight and second featherweight categories, at a press conference after a unification bout with Mexico’s Oscar Valdez battled with guards.
Shakur was answering questions from reporters, when he suddenly started looking towards the entrance to the hall, after which he left the microphone, threw away his championship belts and rushed towards the scene of the troubles. It turned out that the guards refused to let Stevenson’s relatives and friends in, which is why he started rushing at them. The unrest continued and moved towards the exit of the building, but the boxer’s press conference was never resumed.
On April 30, Stevenson scored a landslide unanimous decision victory over Valdez to win the WBC world title and defend the WBO featherweight title.
