Joshua’s promoter isn’t sure Fury is telling the truth when he proposes Anthony fight
Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the offer of the WBC world champion Tyson Fury fight with Anthony Joshuaand stated that, despite doubts about the seriousness of Fury’s words, he would try to make a deal.
“Don’t forget, we signed up for this fight last year, before Deontay Wilder was forced to fight Fury by arbitration.”
“Yes, that’s interesting, because last week he [Фьюри] retired, then he came back to fight Usyk, then he proposed to Derek Chisora, then he wanted half a billion, then he retired again, then he fought Usyk in December and now he’s fighting AJ.”
“AJ’s message is very clear: we don’t want to get into arguments, we want a fight, this is the fight he’s wanted for a long time.”
“I have my doubts this is a serious offer but let’s trust Fury and I told George Warren last night give us the details and the offer and I’ll give it to AJ he’s ready to go. Personally, I don’t believe Fury is serious about this, but if he is, as I told the Warrens last night, 100 percent we’ll sit down and have a fight.”
Joshua has already responded to the challenge of Fury, who twice offered Anthony to hold a head-to-head fight.
On August 20, Joshua lost a split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Alexander Usik in a rematch.
Joshua is ready to return to the ring this year with any opponent. Briton promoter Eddie Hearn announced his readiness to arrange a fight for Anthony in November-December, and also expressed confidence in Joshua’s three or four fights in 2023.

Immediately after the victory in a rematch over Joshua Usyk called out WBC champion Tyson Fury to fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands $500 million for a unification fight with Usyk.
Usyk’s promoter, Alexander Krasyuk, denied that the fight with Fury would be held on December 17 in Saudi Arabia. According to him, negotiations are ongoing. At the same time, the Ukrainian boxer said that there would be no fight with Tyson in 2022.
