Ex-world champion Khan: American will beat Lomachenko and Davis

So far, the meeting between “Crowbar” and “Tank” is in the future

Former world welterweight champion Amir Khan named his favorite in a possible showdown between the former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) and WBA world champion in three weight categories Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KOs).

“If Lomachenko fights Davis, I think Tank will win. Of course, Gervonte will be very difficult, as he will be opposed by a technical fighter. Lomachenko is very technical, but I don’t think he will win.”

The Ukrainian boxer will return to the ring on October 29. Lomachenko’s fight with Jemaine Ortiz will take place at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Lomachenko had his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could fight with George Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier, promoter Bob Arum said he was ready to organize a fight for the title of undisputed lightweight champion between Lomachenko and the winner of the rematch Devin Haney – George Kambosos Jr. in early 2023. The second fight between Haney and Kambosos will take place on October 16 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

Gervonta Davis fought his last fight at the end of May, defeating compatriot Rolando Romero and defending his WBA lightweight title.
