Athletistic/ MMA. Swedish mixed martial artist Khamzat Chimaev has revealed why he didn’t shake hands with rival Kevin Holland at the start of the fight at UFC 279 on Sept. 11.
“How could I see his hand?! I wanted to rip his head off, not look at his hands. So I looked at the position of his head. I don’t know, people are always talking nonsense. If he wants a rematch, I will come back to the octagon and unscrew his head,” Chimaev quoted in a Sport24 press conference.
At the start of the fight, Kevin Holland wanted “five” Chimaev, but Khamzat abruptly clinched and moved the opponent to the ground. The fight ended with the victory of Chimaev by choke (brabo) in the first round.
This victory was the 12th of his career for the Swede of Chechen origin. Chimaev never lost, not once did the fights with his participation end in a draw. Kevin Holland suffered the 8th defeat of his career with 23 wins, 0 draw and 1 without a fight.
