Eddie Hearn says he wouldn’t mind working with the Ukrainian world champion again.
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says he wants to work with Oleksandr Usyk in the future. The head of the promotion company recalled that he had worked with the Ukrainian boxer in the past. According to him, he is not against re-signing the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion.
“I think we did a great job at the time. I can’t remember how many fights we had together, seven or six, but he made a lot of money then.
I think the Saudis will fix his next fight if they agree on a fight for the absolute championship. They control all the rights to fight Joshua. If they do it again, it will be difficult for any of the promoters to gain anything other than representing the boxer.
So, Usyk is in a very good position now. Alexander Krasyuk, Egis Klimas – a great team around him. Now Alexander needs to rest, be with his family, and then we’ll see what happens,” Bad Left Hook quoted Hearn as saying.
Note that Eddie Hearn has been Usyk’s co-promoter since 2018. Cooperation was completed after the second fight between Usyk and Joshua, which was won by the Ukrainian.
It will be remembered that it was previously known that Alexander Usyk wants to help Anthony Joshua prepare for the fight with Tyson Fury.
