The two previous meetings between the British and the Ukrainian ended with the victories of Alexander
British coach Anthony Joshua Angel Fernandez announced the boxer’s readiness to return to the ring.
Fernandez also named possible rivals for Joshua, among which is the Ukrainian heavyweight champion according to WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO versions Oleksandr Usyk.
“If there is a third fight against Usyk, Joshua will definitely beat him. I think he’s starting to understand a lot more things, but we just need to focus on ourselves.”
“Joshua’s recovery will pass and at the end of the year we may see a fight with Fury. Or another one with Usyk. Or maybe a fight with Ruiz. In a word, Anthony has good fights ahead.
“He needs to get in shape. Technically and morally restore its condition. We know what we need to do as a team.”
In August, Joshua lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Recently, Fury reached out to Joshua several times via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony accepted all the conditions of the world champion fight, which should take place on December 3rd. Now Joshua’s team is waiting for a response from the Gypsy King.
Joshua agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion. The boxers considered three dates for the fight – November 26, December 3 and December 17.
