Joshua accepts Fury’s terms for WBC title fight

The fight should take place on December 3

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has accepted all the terms of WBC champion Tyson Fury in a December 3 fight. Now Joshua’s team is waiting for a response from the Gypsy King.

Joshua agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion. The boxers considered three dates for the fight – November 26, December 3 and December 17.

Earlier it became known that on the eve of a potential fight for the WBC heavyweight title with Tyson Fury, Joshua was in 6th place in the updated ranking of the organization.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said the organization could not schedule a fight between the champion Fury and Joshua. Fury made his mandatory title defense in April. The organization will be able to appoint a new contender for the WBC title no earlier than November.

Recently, Fury reached out to Joshua several times via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony accepted the offer of the world champion.

In August, Joshua lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. Fury defeated Dillian Whyte ahead of schedule in April of this year, after which he announced his retirement twice. At the same time, Tyson has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.
