Bellew: Fury had two offers to fight Usyk, but he turned them down

There will be no fight between Tyson and Alexander this year

Former WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tony Bellew expressed misunderstanding towards the current holder of the WBC heavyweight belt Tyson Fury.

“I don’t want to say that Fury doesn’t like the idea of fighting Usyk, but it’s actually very simple. Fury had two offers to fight Usyk, but he turned them down.”

“I don’t see a problem in fighting the so-called middleweight. All we hear is “Usyk is a middleweight.” So why can’t you beat him? I would do it if I were Fury.”

In his last fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.

Immediately after defeating Anthony in a rematch, Usyk challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. In turn, the Gypsy King demands 500 million dollars for a unification fight with the Ukrainian.

Usyk also said that he was primarily interested in a duel with Fury. According to the Ukrainian, there is no more interest in boxing with any other athlete.
