“I couldn’t believe what I saw. I’m not saying it was the worst fight in history, but it was clear that Diaz still had a bit left if he wanted to keep fighting. , but at the Ferguson I saw earlier in octagon it’s over he says he’s better he sees something positive but what has he done to show he’s better than he was? We saw him fight Nate Diaz, he’s not the best fighter though and claims otherwise, but Ferguson looked bad,” Cormier said.
On Sept. 11 at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, Tony Ferguson lost to Nate Diaz by guillotine in the first round. The loss was Tony’s fifth in a row, the last time he beat his opponent in 2019 – on June 8, 2019, Ferguson defeated Donald Cerrone by second-round technical knockout.
