The absolute lightweight champion plans to enter the ring against the Ukrainian boxer in the future.

Devin Haney really wants to meet in the ring with the former world champion in three weight categories, Vasily Lomachenko. According to the absolute world champion, in the lightweight division, the Ukrainian is on his priority list. And he wanted this fight for years.

“There’s no doubt, I want to fight Lomachenko. I’ve been challenging him for years. I’d entertain everyone with such a fight, but first, the Kambosos fight on October 15. Lomachenko is definitely on my list of preferred opponents.

I don’t think Gervonta wants to fight me or anyone. Look at his record – he’s consistently boxed virtually unknown fighters. He is 27 years old, and my resume is better. I am the absolute champion. I don’t see Davis wanting to fight anyone.

Teofimo Lopez is now in the first welterweight category. I’m in easy, I intend to stay here. But it depends on my condition after the rematch with Kambosos. However, I still don’t think that the fight with Teofimo will happen now, but in the future it is possible.

I want to fight Isaac Cruz. I think it will be a good fight for the fans. Stylistically, it was an interesting match for me as well. Perhaps Cruz is another potential lightweight opponent for me. He’s strong, he can apply pressure, I like boxers like that,” Haney was quoted as saying by Boxing News 24/7

It can be recalled that previous promoter Bob Arum said that if Vasily Lomachenko was successful in the fight with Jemaine Ortiz, he wanted to arrange a championship fight for the Ukrainian with the winner of the Haney – Kambosos rematch.
