Hearn: AJ says he won’t get that chance to fight Fury again. He’s ready to fight

Fury vs Joshua could take place later this year

Promoter Eddie Hearn spoke about the peculiarities of organizing the fight of the former champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs).

“We were signed for this fight before. We never got out of the negotiations, and the fight fell through due to Fury’s trial with Wilder. Let’s see. I hope everything will happen, because we agreed to the conditions.

“Maybe they think now is the right time to fight Joshua. But I don’t want to downplay the importance of this fight. I don’t want to blame anyone for anything. I want to try and make a fight. AJ says he won’t get that chance to fight Fury again. He’s ready to fight.”

Fury twice reached out to Joshua via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony accepted Fury’s offer.

Joshua also agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion. Boxers are considering three dates for the fight – November 26, December 3 and December 17.

Recall that Joshua was in 6th place in the updated WBC rankings. The rating allows the WBC to recognize Joshua as a voluntary challenger for Tyson Fury’s championship belt.
