The Russian Men’s Boxing Championship will be held from September 30 to October 8 in Chita. Other participants in the Games in the capital of Japan, Gabil Mammadov and Ivan Veryasov, are also announced for the competition. 2020 Olympic champion Albert Batyrgaziev will not box in the tournament. Earlier, the athlete said that his professional boxing match will take place on November 12.
The prize money for the tournament will be 26 million rubles, the organizers told . Winners will receive 1.5 million rubles each, silver medalists – 250,000 rubles each, bronze medalists – 125,000 rubles each. In total, more than 300 athletes from 60 regions of the country will take part in the Russian Championship. The competitions will take place in 13 weight categories.
