The boxer will not rush to recover
Undisputed World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez announced the need for surgery on the wrist.
“It hurts everywhere. I had this problem after the fight with Caleb Plant, and I thought: “It’s okay, it’s okay, later, later.” But I felt pain.”
“Do I need an operation. It hurted me [во время боя]. It’s a wrist injury, but it’s not broken.”
“I’m not going to force a comeback. My body needs rest. Last year I fought four times in 11 months. Maybe there will be [бой] in May, September. I don’t know yet, but I don’t plan to rush.”
Recall that today in Las Vegas, Alvarez defeated Gennady Golovkin by unanimous decision and defended his titles. All judges gave Canelo the win – 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.
