Manager of the AMC Fight Nights League Kamil Hajiyev told how he stayed in touch with Russian businessman Ziyavudin Magomedov after his arrest.
Magomedov was in the Russian Forbes Top 100. The businessman was arrested in March 2018 and charged with embezzlement of public funds. Prior to his arrest, Magomedov sponsored the Eagles team, whose president was Khabib Nurmagomedov, as well as Gadzhiev’s Fight Nights league.
– The court is coming. I wanted to come to the meeting, but they still won’t let me in. I was a witness on one of the issues at the very beginning, four years ago, but it turns out that if you have witness status in a case, then the court is closed for you. They didn’t let me in even though I came once. And they say they still can’t. And I would like to see it. And if recently there should have been a meeting, it was postponed.
When was the last time you had a conversation?
“Six months ago we signed, and since that moment there are no more,” Hajiyev told .
Magomedov also owned the Summa Group, which financed the Admiral hockey club.
