Canelo wins third fight against Kazakh boxer via unanimous decision
Absolute World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez commented on his winning fight against Gennady Golovkin.
“Golovkin did not surprise me in this fight. I know that he is a strong fighter, but I was ready for it. As for me, I’m just happy to share the ring with him. We gave the fans three really good fights.”
Recall that today in Las Vegas, Alvarez defeated Golovkin by unanimous decision and defended his titles. All judges gave Canelo the win – 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.
For the Mexican, this victory was the 58th in his career. Golovkin, in turn, suffered a second defeat.
This was the third fight between the rivals. The first fight in September 2017 ended in a draw. A year later, the Mexican won by split decision.
