UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski written in Twitter that he is ready to replace the Russian Islam Makhachev or Brazilian Charles Oliveira if either fighter pulls out of the organization’s lightweight title fight.
The fight between Makhachev and Oliveira will take place on October 22 in Abu Dhabi as part of the UFC 280 tournament.
“I will show up to fight one of them. I’ll be next,” Volkanovski wrote.
Earlier, Khabib Nurmagomedov suggested that Oliveira would not fight Makhachev.
