UFC champion Ngannou: I’m interested in fighting Fury and I’m in no hurry

The Cameroonian has not yet received any official offers to fight

UFC World Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou said he was ready to fight a boxing champion Tyson Fury. The Cameroonian is willing to wait for Fury to settle his boxing affairs.

“My status is still the same, I have not received any offers… I think no one is in a hurry, I am not in a hurry either. I’m not going anywhere, so I’m not in a hurry … Absolutely [я все еще заинтересован в бое с Тайсоном Фьюри]. So far, however, everything has ended with boxing intervening.”

Earlier, promoter Bob Arum spoke about a possible fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou. In his opinion, the fight between Fury and Ngannou is able to bring in more money than the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor in 2017, which showed a record 4.2 million PPV sales.

In January, Ngannou defeated Cyril Gan at UFC 270 to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The Cameroonian won the championship belt in March 2021 by knocking out Stipe Miocic in the second round.

Tyson Fury is set to fight former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Fury twice reached out to Joshua via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony accepted Fury’s offer.

Joshua also agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion.

Joshua lost in a rematch for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title to Oleksandr Usyk. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
