Zhang Zhilei manager: If Fury-Joshua fight doesn’t happen, we are ready to come to London to fight Anthony

In the last fight, the 39-year-old Chinese lost by decision to Croat Filip Hrgovic

Tommy Laneheavyweight contender’s manager Zhang Zhileisays that his boxer is ready to fight the ex-world champion Anthony Joshuaand the WBC title holder Tyson Fury can lead Joshua’s team by the nose.

“AJ and Zhang work the same schedule. The last time they fought was on the same night. Zhang was unharmed during the fight, he’s already back in the gym and will be fresh and ready to fight if AJ wants it. Zhang and Joshua also have unfinished business as amateurs when they fought at the 2012 Olympics. The whole of China is behind Zhang, and AJ is still one of the main faces of professional boxing.”

“I’m not sure Fury vs Joshua is going to happen. I think Joshua wants it, but you never know what Fury’s intentions or plans are. This may be a negotiating tactic with the expectation of a fight with Usyk. I don’t think Joshua will beat Fury, but this is another chance to become heavyweight champion and make a ton of money, so I don’t think this is the wrong fight for AJ. But if that fight doesn’t happen, we’re ready to come to London to fight Joshua. Given their styles, AJ vs. Zhang promises to be an explosive fight for the fans.”

Earlier, promoter Eddie Hearn named Zhang Zhilei on the list of those with whom Anthony Joshua would like to fight in the future.

In the last fight, 39-year-old Zhang Zhilei lost a decision to Croat Filip Hrgovic.

Earlier it was reported that Joshua accepted Tyson Fury’s offer to fight. The boxer also agrees to the distribution of the fee 60 to 40 in favor of the current world champion.

In August, Joshua lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
