The third fight between Alvarez, 32, and Golovkin, 40, took place in Las Vegas on Sunday morning Moscow time. The Mexican defended his WBO, IBF, WBA and WBC super middleweight titles, winning by unanimous decision.
“To be honest, I don’t have any emotions about this fight. I was hoping Golovkin would win, but time is very hard to beat,” Sanchez told .
Golovkin holds the IBF, IBO and WBA middleweight championship belts.
Previously, the athletes met in the ring in 2017 and 2018. The first fight ended in a draw, and Alvarez won the second fight by split decision. Golovkin trained for both of those fights under Sanchez’s guidance.
