Promotional company Top Rank has published a poster for the fight of the ex-world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) and an American Jemaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs).
The main background of the poster is the colors of the Ukrainian flag. And in the caption to the publication, the company says: “Lomachenko is returning.”
The Lomachenko-Ortiz fight will take place on October 29 at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Earlier, the head of Top Rank, Bob Arum, commented on the upcoming fight between Lomachenko and Ortiz.
If Lomachenko wins, he is looking forward to a fight with undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney. It is reported that Haney and his father are interested in fighting Vasily. Before that, the American will have a rematch with ex-champion George Kambosos on the night of October 16 in Melbourne.
Lomachenko had his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could fight with George Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
