David thinks AJ can beat the Gypsy King
Former world champion in two weight categories David Haye shared his opinion about a potential fight Anthony Joshua and WBC title holder Tyson Fury. According to him, AJ can surprise everyone and defeat the Gypsy King.
“If anyone has the physical ability to beat Fury, the number one heavyweight monster, it’s Joshua. Years ago they sparred and AJ got the better of Tyson,” Haye said.
“If Joshua can be strong, fast and aggressive against Fury, then he has a chance to surprise everyone. The world will consider AJ an underdog, but for the first time in history, there will be no pressure on us. It will fall entirely on Fury.”
Fury twice reached out to Joshua via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony has accepted Fury’s offer for a December 3 fight. AJ also agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion.
Joshua lost in a rematch for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title to Oleksandr Usyk. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated the Briton by a split decision of the judges: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
