Arum on arranging Fury-Joshua fight: If it doesn’t happen soon then Tyson will fight someone else. We have another competitor

According to American promoter, Joshua’s side is not interested in fighting Fury

Head of Top Rank Bob Arum doubts that the promoter Eddie Hearn really wants to organize a fight between the WBC world champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

“I don’t think Hearn really wants to fight this fight. But we give him every opportunity to do so. If that doesn’t happen soon, then Fury will be fighting someone else. We have another competitor.”

“Hearn knows, like most boxers, that under equal conditions, Fury will knock out Joshua. I think Hearn is just fooling around with the Warrens. Whomever Fury fights, all tickets for his fight in England will be sold out. He won’t expect crazy money from Saudi Arabia.”

Earlier, Hearn explained why Anthony Joshua is so eager to fight Fury.

Fury twice reached out to Joshua via social media and offered him a fight. Anthony accepted Fury’s offer.

Joshua also agrees to a 60/40 distribution of the fee to the reigning world champion. Boxers are considering three dates for the fight – November 26, December 3 and December 17.

Recall that Joshua was in 6th place in the updated WBC rankings. The rating allows the WBC to recognize Joshua as a voluntary contender for the Tyson Fury championship belt.
