Usyk is not going to fight this year, and Fury promised a Joshua fight
Frank Warrenpromoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), told when the fight between the Briton and the holder of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO titles could take place Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13) KO).
“We all want to see the unification of the titles. This will happen, I think, somewhere in March next year.
In his last fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Immediately after defeating Anthony in a rematch, Usyk challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. Later, the Ukrainian said that the duel with Fury in December is impossible.
In turn, Fury said that he was ready to fight Joshua next. The Briton said he was not going to wait until next year to fight Usyk.
Egis Klimas, Oleksandr Usyk’s manager, said Fury was solely responsible for the disruption of the fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title.
