Hearn sues Jake Paul for over $100 million over allegations of bribing judges

The boxer previously said that the promoter bribed the referee in Usyk’s fight with Joshua

Promoter Eddie Hearn sues for the amount more than 100 million dollars on a boxer Jake Paul. The American athlete and video blogger previously said that Hearn was engaged in rigging the results of boxing matches by bribing judges.

“From both a legal and an ethical point of view, there is a clear line separating an opinion from a slanderous lie. Jake Paul knows this, and he deliberately crossed that line when he wrongly accused Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn of fixing fights.”

“Paul had a chance to retract his slanderous statements and turned it down. Matchroom and Mr. Hearn will now seek damages well in excess of US$100 million, given the reputational damage caused by Mr. Paul’s comments,” Hearn’s attorney said.

Paul recently claimed that Hearn paid referee Glenn Feldman for several fights, including Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. The boxer claimed that Feldman in his records unreasonably counted the victory of Joshua, while the advantage of the Ukrainian was obvious.

In his last fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.

Jake Paul will fight the next fight on October 29 against 47-year-old MMA veteran Anderson Silva. The arena will be the Gila River Arena in Phoenix.
