All three judges favored Shakur
American boxer Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) defeated Robson Conceicao (17-2, 8 KOs) at a boxing evening in the USA.
The fight went on for 12 rounds. At the end of the fight, all three judges gave Stevenson a confident advantage – 117-109, 118-108 and 117-109.
Recall that on the eve of the fight, Stevenson did not fit into the regulated weight, which is why the American vacated the WBO and WBC super featherweight titles. Thus, the fight against Conceicao was Shakur’s last in the second lightweight division.
In May, Stevenson defeated Oscar Valdez by unanimous decision to unify the super featherweight belts. Shakur inflicted the first defeat of his career on the Mexican.
The next opponent of the American boxer may be Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko. Their face-to-face fight could take place in early 2023.
