Denis Lebedev – after Mineev’s statement: ‘I haven’t received a summons yet, I’m ready if something happens’

Former WBA, IBF world boxing champion Denis Lebedev in conversation with a correspondent, he said he checked the mailbox regularly and was ready to be called up for military service.

Formerly a practitioner of mixed martial arts Vladimir Mineev told that he had received a summons from the military registration and enlistment office, adding that he was not going to run away from the service. He also urged the rest of the fighters and fans to “check the mailboxes.”

– I know Mineev from a good side. I’m sure he will do what he says. I haven’t received a summons yet, but I check the mailbox regularly. I am ready if something happens, – said Lebedev.

Lebedev, 43, had his last fight in 2019. Then he was beaten by South African Tabiso Mchunu. After that, he announced his retirement.
