Serbian MMA fighter Aleksandar Ilic denies being offered rematch with Alexander Shlemenko .
On August 26, Ilic and Shlemenko fought in Yekaterinburg, where Ilic won by knockout in the first round. After that, reports appeared that the Serbian fighter asked for a very high fee for a second fight with Shlemenko.
– Who told you that I had been offered revenge? Where did you get such information?
– I heard that your manager Lucien Bacos was talking about a rematch.
“First of all, I don’t have a manager, and this guy isn’t my manager. Second, I never received any offers from Shlemenko. Third, I will show you a message [показывает в телефоне]. I sent a message to Shlemenko, where I wrote down my number and said he could call me. And I got no response to this message. I texted him the number the next day and no one called me. I don’t lie and I only tell the truth.
– Would you need a second fight, or did you write this message to Shlemenko, believing that he needed it?
Yes, it is interesting for me. If it brings in a lot of money, I’ll be ready. If I did it once, I will do it a second time,” Ilic told .
