Klopp opens up about the possibility of signing Haaland

Klopp has put aside all speculation about a possible Liverpool purchase of Haaland once his contract with Borussia Dortmund expires.

Klopp opened the game about the speculation that is going on in the Bola Market of a possible contracting of Haaland on the part of Liverpool. In an interview with the German newspaper “SportBild”, the captain ruled out once and for all the possibility of the English club negotiating a transfer with the Borussia Dortmund by the attacker.

The justification is the same as the other clubs that once showed interest in the Norwegian star: values. Klopp said the numbers involved in a possible signing of the player are too high for Liverpool to be able to afford at this point. That way, Haaland has one less destination to choose from at the end of his contract.

“We won’t go there. The numbers quoted are pretty crazy. We have nothing to do with it. No way!” Klopp said, very convinced that despite knowing that Haaland would make a good difference in his squad, spending such a high amount at this moment is totally out of the question on the part of the English board.

In the case of Borussia Dortmund, the German team does not believe that the striker will continue in the team due to the issue of not being able to compete with the financial condition of other clubs in Europe and having to stay away from the search for important titles. In this way, the favorites to have Haaland in the cast continue to be Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The Spanish team is even one step ahead of the rival in this regard, as it recently held a meeting with the player’s representatives asking for exclusivity when the big decision comes. In addition, Haaland himself has already made public his desire to wear the merengue shirt next season.

Currently, Haaland is the big name in the Borussia Dortmund squad. The Norwegian striker has 23 goals scored and six assists given in 24 matches that have already been played for the season by the German club. Despite this, the team is not as strong in the fight for trophies as the player would like, and an exit is seen almost unanimously.
