The goal of the Donetsk club is to cancel the transfer and remove the Brazilian from football
Miner is trying to challenge the transfer of the Brazilian winger Tete V Galatasaray. The miners filed a complaint with FIFAdemanding to cancel the transition, as well as to punish both the player and the Turkish club.
According to Shakhtar, the player remains on contract with the Orange-and-Blacks until the end of 2023. Earlier, Turkish insiders reported on the early termination of the contract, however, according to the Donetsk club, this act was illegitimate due to the fact that “Tete returned to Ukraine during the war” – the club especially insists on this wording.
Accordingly, Shakhtar demand to apply sanctions both to the player who did not have the right to transfer to another club, and to Galatasaray, who processed the transfer without agreement with the Pitmen.
Earlier, another Istanbul grandee Fenerbahce refused to transfer Tete as a result of a “legal, financial and technical assessment”. Celtic and Napoli were also interested in the services of the Brazilian.
Last season, Tete played for two clubs on loan. The Brazilian spent the first part of the campaign as part of Lyon (19 matches, 6 goals and 5 assists). In January, the midfielder moved to Leicester, where he played 14 games, scoring one goal.
Galatasaray won the Turkish championship in 2023. On August 14, he will play the second leg against Slovenian Olimpia in the 3rd round of Champions League qualification. In the first meeting, the Istanbul team defeated the opponent on the road 3:0.
