Tiago Nunes retracts his speech about players: “Group of men”

The day after suffering a defeat in the Campeonato Carioca, the coach of Botafogo, Tiago Nunes, retracted his statement at a press conference after the game. On the occasion, the commander stated that athletes asked not to enter the field and “have a sequence outside”, which was denied by him on the afternoon of this Monday, 19th.

“I want to make it clear that no player asked to leave or stay out, we have a group of men, brave guys, who have strength, workers. Today, many clippings, small speeches are being linked, without having the appropriate context, which generates false news. Those who want to disrupt the internal environment will not succeed. I am fully responsible for everything that happens and I will never pass it on to a player. Things are not happening yet, Botafogo is undergoing transformation, reconstruction, we need everyone together. Those who want external turmoil won’t get it”, said the commander.
